I had the same thing with that same new author a few days ago. He was making a judgement about carpool lanes and EVs that was, shall we say, less than informed, and I corrected him. Many people agreed with my correction, and this has resulted in many notifications of people going, "yeah, what he said!" Not that I mind that, actually.

Well when I did it last time, I actually got a lot of stars for it. So you might not be entirely screwed. I also did a nice takedown of the troll who probably isn't even an engineer. I'm just going to dismiss him if he does his smarmy little "Oh do you want to go ON RECORD as saying that?"
